Cover that Moleskine
No matter how much I love my iPhone’s versatility and billion apps, I will always rely on my classic Moleskine notebook for quick sketches and notes. And based on the line’s existence for well over 100 years, I’m not alone.
Although I don’t mind my notebooks getting a bit scuffed up, these beautiful covers have me feeling like I may need to cover up. The smooth tight grain leather will undoubtedly age well while sliding around in your bag or pockets.
The Molecovers are made by a small SanFrancisco-based outfit who, as they put it, “work hard and play hard” and needed to create the covers because their unprotected Moleskine notebooks just couldn’t keep up.
The covers are all hand-stitched and tooled and cleverly constructed to incorporate the Moleskine’s signature elastic strap into double use in keeping the cover closed around the inner notebook. Nice to note as well that they are sold with a lifetime guarantee.
And for those like me that are ok with a more rumpled Moleskine, they offer “Moletape”- adhesive cloth tape made to cover and protect the book’s spine- (comes in 9 colors). I want the green!
The people at Molecover really do take their playtime seriously. They’ve mentioned being out adventuring in Latin America recently (explaining their low stock levels), but that they are back at work refilling the shelves.
