Muck Boots
With the weather being as it has been over the last couple months, you need to have dependable footwear.
Just yesterday, I spent 6 hours kicking a shovel into the mud and brush slopping through the continued spill-off of the recent rainstorms. My 7 year old Muck Boots were with me the whole way and are now in the basement ready for another day of abuse in the near future.
The 100% waterproof Neoprene-like inner bootie kept me dry and comfortable and the outer solid rubber soul kept my feet safe from rocks, roots, and shovels. The stretchable bootie is nice too in that you can pull your feet out without fussing with laces when you and your boots are totally mud-covered. Just plain ol’ Good Design.
These boots have come through for me so consistently that I feel like I’m doing a public service by spreading the word. Just kidding…but not really.

I have the Hunter boots which are great for birding in the marshes and other muddy areas. It’s good to know the better points of these. I’ll look into them as it’s a challenge to stay upright at low tide in Jamaica Bay and similar spots. Thanks.
They’re really nice how they hold to your feet. Not as clunky as the Hunters either.
I love the boots. I have been looking for weather/water resistant boots that’s beyond the Hunter brand.
Like the mix of the neoprene and rubber, it’s old school yet techy. thanks for sharing. Now I gotta buy me a pear.
