Odin in the West Village

It’s always worth noting when you come across a shop that is run by a staff as nice as the clothes they sell. A lot of times it seems that the attitude grows exponentially with a shop’s price tags. Not the case at the Odin shops in NYC. Both the staff and shops are very friendly and welcoming and the selection is top-shelf.

Opening their first shop on 11th St. in the East Village in 2004, then expanding to their flagship on Lafayette St. two years later, and now their newest shop has recently opened in the West Village on the corner of Greenwich St. and 11th St. By catering exclusively to men, Odin has found somewhat of a niche market. Not to say that the men’s market is any way a niche market in itself, but it’s rare to see a lifestyle concept so well-delivered. All three shops carry very smartly edited collections from cool (but wearable) labels such as, Rag &Bone, Engineered Garments, Duckie Brown, Band Of Outsiders, and Woolrich W.M. to name a handful. Along with the the fine duds, you’ll find some great shoes, accessories, shades, and bath & grooming products. All presented in a comfortable no-hurry atmosphere.
