The beauty of silhouettes is how your mind fills in the missing elements. The tricky thing about creating effective silhouettes is deciding what to take away and what essential details to leave behind. Or in the case of the above photo of Alfred Hitchcock and Carey Grant, the subject matter is so iconic to be immediately recognizable on it’s own. Gathered below are a few well done examples that I’ve been setting aside.  The bottom video from Gate.11 uses silhouettes beautifully throughout. Keep your eyes open for silhouettes trending in graphic T-shirts.
