The Colors of Portobello
Notting Hill is always a destination for me whenever I’m in London. And the Portobello Road street market, itself being in the Notting Hill district, is not to be missed while there. Although I remember it being more of an adventure in my first trips, it’s nevertheless always a source of new inspiration and interesting finds among its hodgepodge of curbside pop-up stands and freestanding shops.
Everything from antique furniture and vintage clothing to fresh cut flowers fill the street weekdays and Saturdays- Saturdays being the main day for antique shopping. There a few weeks ago for vintage shopping, I found myself happily distracted by all the beautiful color (luckily the sun was shining to assist with the photography).
Try to tell me that you wouldn’t want to buy each of these vintage suitcases just to have the variety in color.
All of these incredible doors- I could have easily taken a hundred shots up and down the road. It seemed that every resident was trying to outdo the other.
Color is around every corner and down every alleyway.
