Makr Carry Goods

Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with finding new bags. Maybe its the coming of the new Fall season? Packing for trips and lugging things around during the Summer? Either way, there are a lot of great-looking bags out there and choosing the right one is an important process. A great place that my obsession has taken me is Makr Carry Goods.

Makr is yet another fine example of quality American manufacturing. Yes indeed, there are ways to start successful product-based companies in the USA and actually create that product right here as well. Just think of all the overseas shipping, production travel,  and import hassle that companies like Makr have the joy of avoiding… Hmmm…

One of my favorites, the Makr Button Tote, is their answer to the classic coal bag.

Makr jumped into the latest craze with their iPad case/multi-use pocket (above)- and it sold out almost immediately. Happily, they’re taking orders now and will ship in a month.

Makr’s small leather goods have been their bread and butter since they started a couple years back, and they continue to be some of their biggest sellers.

Even the Makr blog is fantastic. A lot of bogs created alongside a web store are not worth their salt, but the Makr owners happen to know their way around a camera and do a great job behind the lense.
